ECOSAN PP-R Fittings. The perfect fitting for every situation.
All fittings of the ECOSAN installation system are made of PP-R, with only high-quality raw materials being used. This raw material is equipped with high-grade stabilizers. The stabilizer package protects the polymer from oxidation, which may occur, for example, following long-term exposure to high temperatures > 70 °C and high pressure.
When the pipe and the fitting are welded, their plastic materials fuse together to form a homogeneous, firmly bonded whole. Special tools are used to heat up pipe and fitting, which are then just joined together. This connection is reliable and lastingly leakproof
POLYMELT ECOSAN PP-R Fittings. Decades of operational loads without performance loss.
The variety of our fittings is so large that almost all conceivable installation tasks can be solved. And should there not be the right fitting, we will find a solution. Please find the technical specifications of our fittings in our Technical Manual.
Injection molded fittings
The PP-R-metal connection of the ECOSAN fittings excels by its leakproofness and resistance to torsion. This connection withstands decades of operational loads without any difficulty. Thanks to the specific geometry of their inserts, which are made of high-grade brass, the moulded parts meet the highest safety standards and guarantee safe laying
The metal threads of the POLYMELT brass components meet the requirements of the DIN EN 10226 standard and are manufactured from high-quality brass. Moreover, the material complies with the current version of the recommendations (as at 2014) of the Federal Environment Agency on “Materials suitable from a drinking water hygiene point of view”. This guarantees that the limit values of the “Deutsche Trinkwasserverordnung (TrinkwV 2001)” (German Drinking Water Ordinance) are reliably observed. All ECOSAN fittings are compatible with all ECOSAN pipes.
Segmented Fittings & Pre-fabrication
Fittings for large dimensions (from 160 mm diameter) are rarely produced by injection molding, but are manufactured by hand. It is therefore all the more important to be able to rely on accurate and precise manufacturing. Segmented fittings are assembled by experienced employees in our excellently equipped prefabrication department to ensure a precisely fitting installation. Likewise, complete manifolds and special components are prefabricated in our prefabrication shop, assembled and delivered to the construction site on schedule.
The emerging trend in modern pipeline construction is leaning towards the utilization of prefabricated manifolds and specialized components. This development is not without purpose, as it brings forth numerous advantages in the sanitary, heating, and air-conditioning sector. POLYMELT, recognizing the benefits, undertakes the planning and construction of manifolds and specialized components within its own factory, adhering to the exact specifications provided by the customer. These products are then conveniently shipped to any location worldwide, fully prepared for installation. The process merely requires the corresponding planning data, along with 3D drawings and/or dimensioned sketches. Upon receiving these, POLYMELT promptly delivers a comprehensive offer encompassing material extraction and drawing services. Customers can rely on a proficient team of skilled technicians who are readily available to assist throughout the entire process.

Note: heating element temperature 250 to 270 °C. Instructions for socket welding can be found in DVS brochure no. 2207, Section 11, “Socket welding with a heated tool – welding of thermoplastic plastics and pipelines made of polypropylene (PP)”. ECOSAN socket welding is performed according to these guidelines. In this process, pipes and fittings are welded overlapping. The end of the pipes and fittings are heated using a welding device and are subsequently connected. Please find all technical details in our technical manual.
