NO CORROSION OR DEPOSITS WITH POLYMELT PPR PIPING.
You can save yourself corroded pipes, pipes clogged with deposits and the associated breakdowns, repairs and high maintenance costs. Because our PP-R pipes for drinking water, heating and cooling systems cannot rust, nor can deposits build up on the smooth inner walls.
Polypropylene pipes: hygiene, comfort & flexibility.
Hygiene, comfort, harmlessness to health and flexibility – these are the features of PP-R pipelines. No corrosion damage – and compared to metallic pipelines, pipelines made of polypropylene have reduced flow noise. In addition, PP-R pipes are very easy to install and the connections are absolutely tight. Deposits in the pipes do not occur during normal operation. This means that maintenance costs are almost zero, blockages and leaks are avoided, and water damage and breakdowns do not disrupt the process.
No PP-R pipe? Then you must expect deposits & corrosion.
Pictures say more than words. This is clearly true when directly comparing water pipes made of metal to water pipes made of PP-R.
In contrast to the smooth inner surfaces, corrosion resistance and high chemical resistance of PP-R pipes, metallic pipes (e.g. copper) are susceptible to deposits and corrosion – in addition, copper is harmful to health in high concentrations, as are chromium and nickel, which can be released at weld seams in stainless steel pipes.
PP-R plastic pipes: Smooth inner surfaces, no corrosion, chemical resistance.
The smooth inner surfaces, corrosion resistance and high chemical resistance make water pipes made of PP-R unbeatable, as these properties are a clear advantage over pipes made of other materials such as copper or steel.

Long durability
Polymelt PP-R pipes and fittings have a very long service life due to their chemical and mechanical resistance.

Easy to install
The simple connection technology and the low dead weight with the greatest resistance makes the handling and installation of the pipes very easy and saves time.

Corrosion resistant
No deposits, no rust, no time-consuming repairs and costly maintenance. Polymelt PP-R pipe systems make it easy to have something to rely on.

Long-term hygienic
Especially with drinking water, hygiene and health safety play a decisive role. Polymelt PP-R pipes for drinking water are the clean choice for drinking water installations.
Other characteristics of the various materials for pipelines.
Copper pipes
- Copper conductors in rolls or rods
- Connection with soldering or clamping or press rings, for larger dimensions also welded connections.
- CAUTION: Copper is harmful to health in high concentrations.
Stainless steel cables
- Usually only used for special requirements (very expensive), e.g. hospitals or laboratories.
- Connection with press connections, welding, at fittings and distributors with screw connections
- CAUTION: Chromium and nickel can be released from welded seams due to corrosion.
Plastic pipes
- Universally applicable
- Insensitive to corrosion
- Connection with welding
- Easy installation
