Pipes for drinking water
PP-R pipes are ideal cold and hot water supply pipes and have replaced traditional galvanised steel pipes and copper pipes through technical developments over the last few years. Cold and hot water pipes made of PP-R (also known as polypropylene type three) are used in building construction and plant engineering as fresh water pipes, service water pipes or heating pipes. The wide range of our PP-R pipes and PP-R fittings guarantee simple planning, quick installation and a long service life over decades.
Pipes for heating, cooling and air conditioning systems
Polypropylene piping is perfectly matched to the requirements of heating systems, cooling systems and air conditioning systems. Due to the material's insulating properties, temperatures are maintained with low losses even over longer distances without additional insulation. This means that not only the material costs (PP-R pipes are cheap to buy, insulation material can be saved), but also the operating costs (lower energy costs due to insulating material properties) can be made cost-effective. In addition, there is the simple installation and safe assembly, which make PP-R pipes from POLYMELT the favourite for heating systems and air conditioning systems.
Pipes for domestic drains and sewers
POLYMELT pipes and fittings are made of PP-C (polypropylene). PP-C has the advantage that it is elastic and has a high yield stress. This makes these pipes particularly suitable for use with domestic drains and sewage. The mechanical properties and chemical resistance, as well as the smooth inner walls that minimise the risk of deposits, make our PP pipes and piping systems ideal for all applications where wastewater has to be transported, discharged and disposed of. Industrial applications, plant construction, commercial properties, multi-party residential units or single-family homes all benefit from the ease of installation and durability of our pipes.
Pipes for industrial applications and compressed air systems
Due to their pressure resistance and high creep strength, PP-R pipes are ideally suited for compressed air applications in workshops and industrial applications. The easy-to-lay pipes and fittings allow the lines to be laid in any part of the building, thus providing a comprehensive supply without losses. This is because leakage is virtually eliminated with the high-density welded connection. Unlike steel and screw connections of pipe elements and fittings - with this type of connection, leakage, and thus a drop in pressure and higher energy costs, must generally be expected. The wide range of our PP-R pipes and PP-R fittings guarantee simple planning, quick installation and a long service life over decades.
